Case Converter
UPPER, lower, Title, camelCase — instantly.
Convert text between uppercase, lowercase, title case, sentence case, camelCase and snake_case.
How it works
Your text is transformed in the browser: UPPER and lower change every letter, Title Case capitalizes each word, Sentence case capitalizes the first letter of each sentence, and camelCase and snake_case join words for use in code.
When it helps
Saves retyping when you've left Caps Lock on, need a headline in title case, or are naming variables.
Where each style is used
UPPERCASE is used for short labels, acronyms and warnings, but long passages in capitals are hard to read and can feel like shouting. Title Case suits headlines and book titles, while Sentence case is standard for most UI text, emails and many modern headlines.
In programming, naming conventions vary by language: camelCase is common for variables in JavaScript and Java, while snake_case is standard in Python and in many database column names.
Worked example
Starting from 'the quick brown fox jumps', UPPER gives 'THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS', Title Case gives 'The Quick Brown Fox Jumps', Sentence case gives 'The quick brown fox jumps', camelCase gives 'theQuickBrownFoxJumps' and snake_case gives 'the_quick_brown_fox_jumps'.
Proper nouns aren't detected automatically, so after converting to lower or Sentence case, re-capitalize names like 'Istanbul' or 'Google' by hand.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between camelCase and snake_case?
camelCase joins words with capital letters (myVariable); snake_case joins them with underscores (my_variable).
Does Title Case follow a style guide?
It capitalizes every word. Style guides like APA or Chicago lowercase some short words, so check if you need strict rules.
Is my text stored?
No. Conversion happens in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
