Overview

Tools In Orbit (toolsinorbit.com) is a collection of free, browser-based mini tools — calculators, converters, and a few just-for-fun utilities. Almost everything you type into a tool (a birth date, a name, a number) is processed entirely in your browser and is never sent to our servers. This page explains the little that is.

What we collect

• Anonymous click counts. We count how many times each tool is opened, with no identifying information attached, so we know which tools are worth improving.
• Local browser storage. Things like your preferred language, or a birth date/name you've typed into a tool, are saved only in your own browser's local storage so the site remembers them next visit. This data never leaves your device or reaches our servers.
• Standard server logs. Like virtually every website, our hosting infrastructure logs basic technical request data (IP address, browser type, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention.

Advertising & cookies

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, you'll see a consent banner on your first visit letting you choose whether to allow personalized advertising, reject it, or manage detailed options. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page.

Third-party services used by some tools

A few tools need outside data to work. When you use one of them, your browser contacts the service directly, which means that service sees your IP address like any website would:

• Currency Converter — exchange rates from the Frankfurter API (European Central Bank reference rates). Only the currencies and amount are sent.
• IP Address Lookup — the ipify service, which returns your public IP address.
• DNS Lookup — Cloudflare's public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver, which receives the domain name you look up.
• Ping Checker — sends a request to the website address you enter.
• Fonts — the site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts.

We do not send anything you type into these tools to our own servers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or Turkey's KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because we don't run accounts and keep tool inputs only in your own browser, we usually hold no personal data about you beyond short-lived server logs. You can clear locally stored data at any time through your browser settings. For any request, email us at the address below. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Third-party links

Some tools link out to other apps or sites (for example, Lunara). Those destinations have their own privacy policies — this page only covers Tools In Orbit itself.

Children

Tools In Orbit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the site changes. Material changes will update the "last updated" date above.
